The Boss is Still the King

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I went to the Bruce Springsteen concert in Anaheim on Monday. First a little background. I am not a big concert goer. Let me count the concerts that I have been to:

Van Halen (just before they got big)
Linda Ronstadt (Smokey Robinson made an appearance)

Do you know the way to San Luis Obispo?

We made another trip up north to pick up my wine shipment from Tablas Creek this last weekend. We left Friday evening and stopping for a quick meal in Camarillo, we made it to San Luis Obispo relatively early. We have some generous friends who lent us their condo that they bought in [...]

Erin Go Bragh

We held our second annual St. Patty’s day party on Saturday. The first annual consisted of a total of 6 people and a six pack of Guinness. The party expanded this year to a total of 14, so the third annual could be a whopping 28. This year extravaganza included traditional Irish [...]

Back from Down Under

We spent two weeks in New Zealand visiting my daughter, visiting some friends and taking the time to explore the South Island. First of all, it was wonderful to see my daughter who has been in New Zealand for 4 months and is planning to stay there for many more. This is [...]

Parent Day

We did our parental duty and visited our son, who is a freshman at St. Mary’s College last Saturday. A quick flight to Oakland and a ride on BART to Walnut Creek where Will met us. We spent most of the day in Walnut Creek, having coffee, lunch and shopping for wardrobe items that [...]

Where everyone is going

My daughter lives here now. Our adopted “son” is already there and owns a house. His wife and their two dogs left our house last night to go here. Annette Will and I are heading there before Christmas, so I thought I would play a commercial for the location.
