Niagara Falls

Annette and I booked a long week in New England and we started with a day trip to Niagara Falls.  Now I have been here before on one of our Seamhead Baseball Tours (in between the Baseball Hall of Fame and a game in Toronto).  We showed up on a cool Saturday morning and quickly made our way to the Maid of the Mist.  This is the classic boat ride to the base of both the American and Canadian Falls.  But our morning started a little differently.

After spending Friday night in Buffalo, I realized Saturday morning that I packed my camera battery charger, my camera cord to my computer, but I failed to pack my camera.  A quick stop at Best Buy, I bought a new point and shoot camera to take pictures.  After a fun day at the falls, I tried to upload the pictures that I took of the Falls and none of them were on the camera.  A quick purchase of disk recovery software, and I was to recover the pictures on the camera.  So as we relax in our hotel room (for some reason the hotel felt obligated to upgrade us to a suite with a view of the American Falls), I am able to share the pictures that Annette and I took today.

Everyone should come see Niagara Falls.  The sure size and power display of mother nature is incredible, but be prepared for lots of people.  Even on a cool October afternoon, the mass of people was somewhat overwhelming.  Oh the Maid of the Mist is a turist trap that everyone must be sure to be lured to go.  It is absolutely the best way to view the pure power and size of the falls.

Tomorrow its onto Montreal, so for now Au Revoir.
